Red Rocks Amphitheatre Morrison, Colorado
In our opinion, Red Rocks is one of the best open-air theatres you’ll find in the entire world. Located near Morrison, Colorado; the theatre is literally a rock structure with a large, leaning rock at the back of the stage. Another huge rock angled to the stage is a meant for the audience and has enough room for up to 9,525 people.
John Brisben Walker, the owner of Red Rocks back in the early 1900s dreamed about artists performing in the amphitheatre. The acoustics of the place made it a place stage for concerts. Thus began the musical history of Red Rocks when a number of concerts were organized by Walker in 1906. Later, he would sell the theatre to the City of Denver for over $50,000.
Upcoming Events
The coming months are going to keep the amphitheatre quite busy. On the first of April, an Easter Sunrise Service and Brunch will be held and a couple of days later the Columbine High School Graduation will take over the Red Rocks.
In May, the theatre will be the place for a couple more graduation ceremonies as well. Mountain Vista High School, Castle View High School and Highlands Ranch High School Graduations will be taking place throughout the month of May.
The rest of the couple of months will be a treat for people willing to stay in shape by exercising at the Red Rocks. Several “Yoga in the Rocks” will be coordinated for the fine people of Colorado.

It would be a huge understatement to say that the Red Rocks would be featuring a star-studded lineup this summer. The summer will be spent listening to your favorite artists rocking the amphitheatre down to its core. Artists including world-renowned names like Post Malone, Kygo, X Ambassadors, Khalid, Marshmello, Imagine Dragons and Halsey.
